When you think of a swan, do you think of a graceful creature gliding around on a crystal blue water-top? What about a Black Swan….what do you think of then: beauty or beast? According to Dr. Kohl (and I am paraphrasing) there are four factors that effect the US market and they are known as Black Swans; oil, Japan, sovereign debt issues, and social unrest. Each of these need to be watched closely, especially when investing in the stock market and/or making other economic decisions.
Also on the “watch” are the Islands of Prosperity; Food, Fiber, and Fuel. Since the economical statue of our nation is in limbo, finding the right source to invest in is crucial. According to the expert, (again, I am paraphrasing), land is still a safe bet. Food (agriculture), Fiber (agriculture), and Fuel (oil and/or bio-energy) are going to be the heartbeat of our country, so investing in agricultural land and/or timberland is definitely the way to go. “Think Globally, Act Locally”. Consider your global circumstances while making your decisions locally….Invest in what lasts….invest in Georgia Land.
